Hi,

For some reason, the latest version of the MSPDS Open source packages comes packaged inside some weird installer that simply extracts the files previously contained in the zip to some folder. But why?

This makes creating packages for linux distributions like aur.archlinux.org/.../ needlessly difficult. Why not provide a zip like you used to?

Have you seen the Linux installation script for MSDS? This should help you out.

I'm sorry, but the link you provides is only remotely related to my issue. The script in there is only about creating the appropriate udev rules for some programmer. Not about the issue of wrapping up source code inside some weird installer.

The reason for the installer is that it allows TI to include a license that must be agreed to before the software is available.
