Hello,

I am using MSP430F427 , i am putting a pull up on pin no. 44 and 45 (P2.0 and P2.1) with 3.0V battery and 10K ohm resistance. automatically get 1.2V on AVCC and 2.1V on DVCC.

Please help.

The pins are internally connected to the supply rails with protection diodes that start to conduct when the voltage difference between pin and rail exceeds the diode's forward voltage.

As shown in the datasheet's absolute maximum ratings, you must never apply a voltage greater than VCC + 0.3 V to any pin.

Hi Mukesh,

Just to clarify, you are connecting the same 3V battery to AVCC and DVCC? Additionally, you have a separate 10k pull-up going from P2.0 and P2.1 to the 3V battery?

Is anything else connected to P2.0 and P2.1?

Hi Mitchell,

Thanks, I am not connecting anything to AVCC and DVCC. Yes I am providing separate 10k pull-up going from P2.0 and P2.1 to the 3V battery.
