MSP-EXP430FR5994: MSP-EXP430FR5994

Part Number: MSP-EXP430FR5994
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BOOSTXL-K350QVG-S1, MSP430FR5994

I am looking for CAD models of the populated circuit boards of the complete development kit, MSP-EXP430FR5994, MSP-EXP432P401R, BOOSTXL-K350QVG-S1. Are they available for download?

  • Hello Eric,

Schematic, Gerber, and BOM files are available for the launchpads and boosterpacks on their respective product pages linked above. CAD symbols for TI parts are located on their product pages. For example, MSP430FR5994 CAD symbol is located on the part page -> Click the Quality and Packaging Tab - > Scroll down to CAD symbols. CAD symbols are provided for all packages, and STEP files are provided for some. All TI parts should have a similar offering on their respective product pages.
  • Thank you Jace.

We were able to download and use the board information, but the schematic is in Eagle format which is not compatible with the PADS Logic (latest version) we are using.

Does TI generate these outputs in more than one format on request?  We would be looking for the schematic in:

    OrCad .dsn file

P-CAD .sch file (2002 or newer)

    P-CAD .sch file

    CADSTAR .csa or .scm file

  • Eric,

Unfortunately, all current launchpads are given only in Eagle format. The output format TI provides may change for newer Launchpads, but I do not believe it will be offered in multiple formats.
