CCS/BOOSTXL-BATPAKMKII: BOOSTXL-BATPAKMKII i've purchased two now and both are fried?

Part Number: BOOSTXL-BATPAKMKII

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Each BOOSTXL-BATPAKMKII i've purchased never really worked as described, see others comments. Displayed values incorrectly and my hardware fails with use?

Burnt myself on overheated 3.3v boost chip, then noticed battery was getting way too hot on second one purchased!! thur PCB.

I don't care to burn my house down so, I'll give up now and look for another vendors solution.

    Hi Ron,

    Can you describe what connections were made to the board (I.e. was it connected to another LaunchPad/BoosterPack), what setting the jumpers were in, what position the toggle switch was in, and if you had the USB plugged in and charging (if so, was the LED on or off)?

    From what you are describing, it sounds like there may be a short somewhere. I would like to confirm your setup first, then start looking for shorts on the board.
