hello, 

i would like the DRV8701EVM with the MSP-FET debuggen and Code Composer Studio.

Which pins do I need to use? Do I need to install drivers?

Hello,

JTAG pin 2 to board 3.3V_MCU, pin 8 to TEST, pin 1 to RESET, and pin 9 to GND. The drivers appear to already be installed. Be sure to make the connection wires as short as possible and post the specific error displayed if you are having connection issues.

Hi,

Is R18 populated? Are you supplying power to the MCU though the MSP-FET or an external power supply? Perform a continuity test to ensure that JTAG pin 2 is connected to MCU pin 1 (DVCC) and likewise for pin 9 to 20 (DVSS). You can also refer to the Motor Drivers Forum as they developed this EVM.
