Is this a Launchpad? What color is it? The Black ones were susceptible to this (at least all of mine were).
I order this board from element14 and the board is faulty when I first plug the power it get heated, I just called element 14 and told them but they do not respond me,this is the first time me with TI, I am not impressed by TI,ST is better than TI so I always prefer ST over TI, because TI doesn't support customer care service they are just selling their product .they don't know the customer satisfaction is more important.
Hey Sachin,
Contacting Element14 since the board was purchased from them was definitely the right thing to do.
It's possible that the board was experiencing some kind of a latch up leading to the heating issue. However I'd expect this goes away when you perform a power cycle , so you should not see this manifest in a sustained manner.
Given the quantity of LaunchPads out there, it's always hard to pinpoint issues easily to a single root cause.
