I want to know if it is possible to connect BME680 to MSP430 microcontroller?

Hi Oleksandra,

BME680 has both SPI and I2C interfaces, and the MSP430F2272 does as well, so either of these interfaces can be used to communicate between the 2 devices. Please see the User's Guide on the MSP430F2272's product page for details on using these serial interfaces.

Be careful of the mode-selection mechanism in BST-BME680-DS001-00 section 6.1, in particular how CSB needs to be set during startup. Depending on how your board is wired, this might be easy, but it's something to be aware of.

Hi Oleksandra,

Yes, I would suggest you use Code Composer Studio to program the MCU. For the BME680 sensor, you should not need to program it because it is not an MCU. Please see the datasheet and other documentation for that device as it is not a Texas Instruments part.
