CCS/MSP430I2041: Load program Error

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I am working on MSP430i2041.

I tried to load the example code "blinking LED".

During this procedure, I used the MSP-FET Flash Emulation Tool(JTAG).

Code Composer Studio version is 8.1.0.

I confirmed the error code below after clicking the debug botton.

How can I solve this problem?

Hi,

can you please check the following:
- if the pins and connections of your MSP-FET are not corroded and have proper contact?
- is VCC stable during programming?

What board are you using?

I confirmed that the VCC is stable and the connection is also ok.

When I use this set on MSP430G2342, it works well.

Currently, I connect only the MSP430i2041 and RST schem.

I'm attaching the connection.

Hi,

can you please check the following?
1) Is the CCS project set to MSP430I2041 and not a memory variant?
2) Is the chip you have on your board an MSP430I2041 and not a memory variant?
3) Did you program the INFO memory? If yes, can you please change the download option to main memory without info memory? It could be, that the debugger expects a blank info memory, but sees it is already programmed, so there is a mismatch.

Hi,
I didn't know that I have to use the pins #1, 2, 7 and 9 instead of #2, 8, 9 and 11 when I use the MSP-FET Flash Emulation Tool for Spy-Bi.
