MSP432P4111: run Embedded Linux OS?

Part Number: MSP432P4111

Hi,

Can you please let me know if MSP432P4111 can run Embedded Linux OS in it?

Thanks & Regards,

Vishnuvardhan

  • Vishnuvardhan,

That's a pretty broad question. The answer depends largely on what you are trying to do with your system and what the memory requirements are for your selected version of Linux.  Embedded systems usually operate with a real-time operating system (RTOS) that is more frugal with memory and provides greater predictability on execution time and latencies. To this end, the MSP432P4111, MSP432P401x, and all the other SimpleLink Family MCUs provide support for TI-RTOS and FreeRTOS. To learn more, a good place to start is the RTOS section of SimpleLink Academy, available from TI Resource Explorer.

    Hope that helps.
