BOOSTXL-AUDIO: BOOSTXL-AUDIO_RecordPlayback

Part Number: BOOSTXL-AUDIO
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430FR5994

I like to do modifications on BOOSTXL-AUDIO_RecordPlayback - is there further documentation available?

  • Hi Dirk

I think all the relevant documentation should be in the web-site BOOSTXL-AUDIO . What's the function do you want to get by modify the hardware?

    Best regards

    Gary

  • Hi Gary,

Thanks for this link. I discovered some correspondence about the BOOSTXL-AUDIO, but I did not find a detailed description of the Record Playback program.

I like to do some Pitch Shifting with a granular method. For this I have to add some additional lines to be called after some audio samples and to use a circular buffer, adding the output.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Best regards,
    Dirk.
  • Hi Dirk

Do use the demo named "BOOSTXL-AUDIO_RecordPlayback_MSP430FR5994" If you refer to this demo I think you can modify the data buffer when finish the sample. By the way will you us the LEA module to do the Pitch Shifting with a granular method?

    Best regards
    Gary
  • Hi Gary,

I read that there is a LEA module somewhere available but I still do not know what it is.
Does the LEA module include Pitch Shifting?
Is it usable for the BOOSTXL-AUDIO_RecordPlayback_MSP430FR5994 ?
Is there a link which I should follow?

    Thanks for your help!

    Best Regards,
    Dirk.

  • Hi Dirk

I don't know how you do with Pitch Shifting, so I don't know whether the LEA can support it.
Here is the description of the LEA : LEA is a digital accelerator that enables best in class ultra-low power signal processing and embedded math calculations for common operation such as multiply and accumulate (MAC), filtering (FIR and IIR) and transforms (FFT). See the LEA Supported API's section below for the complete list of API's that support LEA.
For more information you can install the DSPLIB at here (www.ti.com/.../msp-dsplib) And then go into file:///C:/ti/msp/DSPLib_1_30_00_02/html/usersguide_lea.html

    Best regards
    Gary
