MSP430FR5959: To know about UART pin voltage tolerance

Part Number: MSP430FR5959

We are using msp430FR5959 controller which has 2 UART

In our application we have used one of UART as 485 network . UART pins (RX and TX) is connect to max 485 IC and controller having Modbus protocol so data send and receive continuously through max 485 IC . Msp is operated on 3.3V and max 485 is on 5V.

We have used this way and its working too. We can able to send and receive data over UART through RS 485. but so is if OK with this much voltage difference in UART pins ? what will be the voltage tolerance on UART ( RX and TX ) pins ? hardware connection wise is it acceptable ?
