thanks Johnson....

For better or for worse I created a second ccxml file with a different label and assigned it to usb2....I then right click on the board I want to work on and set that as the active target....all seems to be working on both boards loading code...

Do you mean that you can selectively download hardware circuit boards by creating two ccxml files and assigning different usb port?

What I mean is I have two dev boards connected to two USB inputs....I create two CCXML files within a CCS project.  I then selectively make active one of the ccxml files by right clicking and assigning active.  Then I download and debug the application on the EVM....It seems to work but you have to make sure you disable USB power savings mode when windows sleeps or it kills the port then you have to physically unplug the EVM and replug to get windows to recognize....Sometimes I have trouble with the one board running the app/debugger....Seems to have a problem getting the 16MHz clock up and running on the board....This happens on the second (non-default) USB
