Hi, I am very suprised, that TI keeps releasing new RF SOC based on 8051 microcontroller (I though it is a dying architecture), while nothing is happening to CC430 At the same time other people go fast ahead http://www.st.com/stonline/products/literature/bd/15851.pdf Regards Jan

I believe this kit comes with everything you need except the emulator. The MSP-FET430UIF is our recommended JTAG programmer to program the MSP430. I recommend this be purchased in addition to the EM430F6137RF900

Looking at the CC430 family, the CC430F6137 in particular, one sees it allows both a 32768 Hz crystal (XT1) and an internal, 32768 Hz, trimmed, oscillator. So when do I need or want the external crystal? Thanks Neal

Has anyone managed to get MCLK to map to an output pin on a CC430F6137?
