      Hello!

I would like to know if there exists an evaluation kit for the LM3S2793 micro.

As far as I know, the only existing board for the LM3S2 series has the LM3S2965 micro. It is referenced as EKK-LM3S2965
      (with Keil).

Do you also know if it is possible to find some kind of adaptor to adapt the EKK-LM3S2965 evaluation board to the LM3S2793 chip?

      Thanks for your help.

      Guillaume

The best board for evaluating the 2793 is the LM3S9B90 evaluation kit. The 9B90 and 2793 are both Tempest-class devices. The 9B90 has additional features, but the implementation of the CAN module and other peripherals is the same on both devices.

      Thank you for your answer.

So if I understood it well, it is not possible to put or adapt the LM3S2793 chip on an existing demo board by using an adaptor board or something similar.

I have another question. Considering we use the LM3S9B0 evaluation kit, is there any differences between the LM3S9B90 chip and the LM3S2793 one in terms of construction?

I am very interested by you answer since our application requires higher temperature ratings than written in the specifications. We would also like to do temperature pre-tests on the chip with its demo board.

So in case we are using the LM3S9B90 chip with its evaluation board, it is very important for us to know whether we would have similar results with this chip than with the LM3S2793 chip we are targeting.

      Thanks.

      Guillaume

I forgot another question. What do you call Tempest-class devices? Is it related to the 4th generation of the microcontrollers you produce?
      Thanks.

      Yes, Tempest = 4th generation.
