Last week, We have upgrade CoMDKPlugin and CoFlash.This update is mainly about CoLinkEx and support new chips.

From the December, all the new CooCox software, which support download and debug function, are required to use the new version of the CoLinkEx firmware and driver. The download page is for the new firmware and driver is http://www.coocox.com/Colinkex.htm

1. How to update the Firmware of CoLinkEx

  • Short-circuit JP1.
  • Power on (Connect CoLinkEx to the PC).
  • Wait for the PC enumerate the removable disk whose lable is "CRP2 ENABLD". If it does not, you could press the reset button(BP1) for several times or power on again.
  • Delete the firmware.bin file in "CRP2 ENABLD" removable disk.
  • Copy the downloaded firmware to this removable disk.
  • Disconnect JP1, reuse after powering on.

2. Driver: Users need to download and install the driver according to the Windows system version. It is recommend to uninstall old driver at first, then update the firmware for CoLinkEx and install the new driver with CoLinkEx plugged in. When CoLinkEx installed sucessfully, PC will detect CoLinkEx Debugger, USB Composive device and a CooCox virtual serial port.The 3 equipment can be found in the device manager.
