Error while installing driver software for TM4C123G board

Hello all,

I have been trying to Windows drivers for my newly purchased TM4C123G board. The OS of my PC is Windows 8. I have plugged in the USB into the "Debug" port of the board and also the switch is in the "Debug" side. The LED works fine when plugged into the PC. When I try to "Update Driver Software" from the "In-Circuit Debug Interface", the following error occurs.

What should I do now? I have downloaded the drivers from this website: http://www.ti.com/tool/stellaris_icdi_drivers

I hope there isn't any hardware error. How should I solve this issue?

Hello Silvia,

Did you try to install the drivers from the device manager by manually searching for it?

Hi Amit,

Yes, I followed all the procedures correctly as was shown in the manual. After manually searching and directing into the correct location the previous error dialog comes instead of the success message.

Hi Kel,

Thanks for pointing me to the right direction. I actually searched for similar problem before posting the question here. However, i think my search criteria wasn't that good so I didn't find that thread then. My problem is now solved.

Indeed Kel's link provided me with the correct solution. I tried it, and was able to install the driver correctly this time. I wonder, why this isn't mentioned in the manual in the first place. Thanks for your help as well.
