Help: Target missing for Tiva TM4C in CCSv6

Disclaimer: I'm admittedly brand new to CCS and for that matter TI microcontrollers.

I have the C Series TM4C123G LaunchPad evaluation kit. I installed all of the software listed in the device page including CCSv6. In following the instructions on the TM4C123G workshop workbook (and adjusting for the differences between the workbook, I believe written with CCSv5, and CCSv6), I cannot for the life of me figure out why the Tiva devices are not listed under the ARM family when trying to create a new project. I searched and cannot find any postings to assist a newbie like me. It's probably an obvious fix for the experts in this forum. Please point me in the right direction. Thank you.

Hi Ryan,

From what I know the workshop workbook for Tiva Launchpad is outdated. So, I recommend the workshop workbook for Tiva Connected Launchpad as guide instead for creating new CCS project. Download the workbook pdf from the link below.

At CCS6 if you are making a new project there is a selection for Tiva microcontroller. Tiva microcontrollers are at the bottom part. Just browse down.

Thank you for your response. I looked at the suggested guide and it should help elsewhere. Unfortunately the original issue remains. The Tiva C Series is just not listed as a target. This is where I get stuck. They just do not appear in the list. Perhaps I need to reinstall CCS?

Hi Ryan,

I have CCS Version: 6.0.0.00190, and I am able to select Tiva C Series. Are you able to do the same? If not, re-install CCS Version 6 again. Delete the previous installation directory, then install.
