TM4C1294NCPDT: Which algorithm is used for the CRC-Module option "TCP Checksum"?

can someone please comment on the following question I have got from a customer?

In the CRCCTRL register description, bits [3:0] can be configured to 0x8 in order to generate a "TCP checksum".

What is the algorithm used for this TCP checksum calculation?
