Hi,

I have a problem with custom board, using a TM4C1294NCPDT.

Here is the error message :

CORTEX_M4_0: GEL Output:
Memory Map Initialization Complete
CORTEX_M4_0: Error connecting to the target: (Error -2062 @ 0x0) Unable to halt device. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK). (Emulation package 6.0.14.5)

Tried on 3 different boards, all have the same message.

But, 2 years ago using the same setup, one of the same boards worked perfectly.

Anything that I need to check ?

Siauhwa,

Some questions:
- What are you using as a programming pod?
- Did you try to execute the "unlock" procedure using LMFlash or Uniflash?

Some ideas:
- Are you sure your board is well executed and properly working? Did you measure all 3V3 and 1.2V and got correct readings?
- Could your R79 be shorted or with the wrong value, and preventing the pod reset to bring the line down?
* Is your RBIAS REALLY floating like your schematic shows? You need a specific resistor there, read the latest errata on that part.

Last point is a show stopper, check that first.

Hi Siauhwa,

I see the RBIAS unconnected. Can you add series resistor (4.7K) between the RBIAS and the GND and see if it solves the problem.

I use XDS560V2 USB

I haven't tried to unlock . Uniflash seems to be doesn't work with XDS560 ...?

I'll check the R Bias

While you (appear) to have solved your issue via Rbias - your use of 47K for 3 of the 4 JTAG signal lines - may prove excessive. (such may work "in the lab" - or while MCU is in "ideal conditions" - but (too often) proves "issue prone.") Your single 10K - w/in your JTAG pull-up crüe - should have "triplet brothers" - should he not? (i.e. 10K repeatedly bests 47K as pull-up...)
