  • Hi Suresh,
Please use the latest silicon revision which is revision "7".
  • Suresh,
Yes, you can surely use GEI7.
The special codes after GEI refer to silicon version or anything else that don't really matter to the application (ok, to be deeper, you don't want to use an older silicon version when your development does not account for old errata issues, but that is not the case here).

  • Questions of such "Sales Nature" are best handled by your (most) local Sales Office - AND may succeed in gaining you free samples (even sometimes) eval boards.

Unless, of course, the 'fixes' make earlier work-arounds fail or introduce new issues.

Some manufacturers will specify the silicon version on their BOM to avoid just that sort of problem. Changing revision then requires an ECO and validation. Their contract to purchase will specify the acceptable version(s).

Where IS the damn LIKE Button? How can such a poorly crafted (unfeeling, MOTIVATION KILLING, RECKLESS decision) be permitted to CONTINUE?

Should not the "expert" crafting such - deal (INSTEAD) w/a REAL ISSUE - such as INCESSANT JTAG LOCK-OUTS - SUFFERED here (almost) DAILY!
