TM4C1294NCPDT: Running test program from external or FLASH

Dear Sir/Madam

We have developed code to run from windows workstation which communicates via ethernet with TM4C1294 microcontrollers. The GUI will create test program and execute by sending commands via ethernet to the microcontroller. Due to which sometimes we are incurring delay due to packet sending and receiving.

So my question:

1) is it possible to transfer the code to the FLASH and execute it from the microcontroller.

2) or send the test program over the ethernet channel and save to the external ram. This program will be executed when the user clicks start from the GUI.

Both these things are possible. Reprogramming flash for execution is not likely a good solution as the time it takes to erase and program the flash will cause more delay. Loading into an external SRAM interfaced with the EPI is a solution. If the test routines are small enough, the best solution is to execute from the internal RAM.
