Part Number: BOOSTXL-DRV8301

Good Morning,

I was wondering whether it would be possible to use an Arduino Uno to control a BLDC through the DRV8301?

I'm fairly new to electronics and electrical engineering and am struggling to understand which ports on the base of the DRV8301 need to be connected to the Arduino.

Any help is very much appreciated.

  • Crispin,

Thanks for posting on the Motor Drives Forum!

I would say that it's likely possible to use an Arduino to run the DRV8301 but I do not have any example code available. I would suggest learning the pre-existing C2000 as this is an existing solution using the BOOSTXL-DRV8301 and you can learn from and then later adapt to the Arduino if needed.

    Regards,

    Adam,

    Thanks for your reply.

I'm not averse to having to come up with my own code; that's fine.

I was more interested in the physical connections required? On the manual for the DRV8301, there are a series of acronyms, and I have no idea as to their importance or function.

    Thanks,

    Crispin

    Crispin,

If you have specific questions I can try answer those.

    Regards,

    -Adam
