Hi,

I'd like to ask about DRV8829 OCP trip level.

In DRV8829 datasheet, I found the description below and have 3 questions.

(1)Is the 6A typical value?

(2)Are max and minimum vale non-guaranteed?

(3)Is OCP trip level "Guaranteed by Design"?(not guaranteed by Automated Test Equipment)

Thank you. I will feedback your question to internal design team. Looks like there are some typo in datasheet.

To DRV8829, 6A should be the min OCP value. I will confirm that and get back to you later.

Confirmed that it's a typing error. 6A is the MIN OCP value only. We will start a datasheet revising for this soon.

Also, OCP value is checked by ATE.
