Hi,


Would you please guide me where i can find an 'example with document' about
"Sensor less indirect field oriented control (IFOC) for 3-Phase Induction Motors (ACIM) with IQ-Math C2000”?
(In Application Report, SPRABP9–October 2013, only the direct (rotor) flux oriented control System with flux and open-loop speed estimators is described.)

    For 3-phase ACIM control, the TI reference design used indirect rotor flux oriented control scheme for sensored-FOC, and direct rotor flux oriented control for sensorless-FOC. So there is no such "Sensorless indirect field oriented control (IFOC) for 3-Phase Induction Motors (ACIM) with IQ-Math C2000” reference design now.

    You might download controlSUITE and find the related document and reference code in below folders if you install it by default.
    Indirect scheme Sensored-FOC: C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\HVMotorCtrl+PfcKit_v2.1\HVACI_Sensored
    Direct scheme Sensorless-FOC: C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\HVMotorCtrl+PfcKit_v2.1\HVACI_Sensorless

    Anyway i want to use "Sensorless IFOC" because i have read in papers that it has better performance in cases such as: Lower drift and lower temperature effects and better response in low speed. Is it true?

    I need an algorithm with lowest torque ripple and best response in very low speed for 5 to 7 KW ACIM.

    Which algorithm do you suggest if i design my own estimator (e.g. kalman)?
    What is the limitation and problem of sensorless IFOC that TI does not use yet?
