Dear all,

the grade0 version of the DRV8305 does not have the LDO. Is it possibile to use the VREF pin to drive the base of a BJT to create an unregulated LDO ?

Do you see any issue ? Is there an expaple ?

Hi Domenico,

The VREF pin on the DRV8305N is the reference voltage input for the current sense amplifiers. It is not a voltage output, so it cannot be used to drive any external circuits.

Hi Garret,

thanks. I didn't realized that the LDO was completely disabled. I was thinking that it was for internal usage and the output used to conect a capacitance.
