First let us check what does the brushed DC motor selection tool give us?
1. change the Vs max voltage to >28V. It gives us 33 parts
2. I would think an integrated FET solution is good for 1A application. So, I set the FET Rds-on to 400mohm. And then, we have 10 parts.
Open the selection result, I would pick DRV8873_Q1 because of more integrations; new release and auto-qualification. I would think all motor drive parts have several protection methods to meet customer requirements. So, you can pick other parts according to your system requirement.
