DRV-ACC16-EVM: Interfacing with TM4C123GXL

I intend to interface DRV-ACC16-EVM with TM4C123GXL, I was unable to find relevant documentation on this. Can I get some suggestions with regards to this?

Hello, Soumyadeb,

Unfortunately, we don't have a documentation like the one you are looking for.

However, the DRV-ACC16-EVM has analog outputs that represents the X, Y and Z axis (57mVp per gpeak). So, in order to interface these values with an MCU, you may use the MCU ADC in order to interpret the values of each axis.

Will that be possible with any kind of MCU ADC or there only specific boards which can carry out this functions?

Hello, Soumyadeb,

You would need an ADC with enough resolution to read the 57mV per Vpeak. As mentioned in the User's Guide, you only need to measure the Vpeak of the generated waveform in order to get the Acceleration (g).

You may ensure that your measurement is correct with an oscilloscope. You only need to place the scope measurement in AC-coupled mode and read the Vpeak of each channel as shown in the User's Guide:
