DRV8412: Request the Recommend Circuit.

Part Number: DRV8412

Hello
My customer use the DRV8412 for below block.
Is this block the avalible?
and if avalible, Would you Provide to me the reference circuit for this block?

Regards

  • Hi Louis,

What is the reason your customer wants to configure two DRV8412s in parallel as shown?

Has your customer considered connecting two DRV8412 as shown in Figure 15 of the DRV8412 datasheet?

This is more common when operating the device in parallel mode.

  • Hi Rick

Q : What is the reason your customer wants to configure two DRV8412s in parallel as shown?

A : The another Motor Driver is Spare.

Q : Has your customer considered connecting two DRV8412 as shown in Figure 15 of the DRV8412 datasheet?

A : If one motor driver is damaged, it is configured as above to operate with another motor driver.

Is there anything to consider when configuring like this?

    Regards.

  • Hi Louis,

"A : If one motor driver is damaged, it is configured as above to operate with another motor driver.

Is there anything to consider when configuring like this?"

If the damage is severe enough to affect the operation of the other motor driver, there could be issues. The customer may need some type of switch to isolate the motor driver outputs and select the one to drive the motor.

  • Hi Rick

can you provide a reference circuit for isolate the motor driver outputs?

    regards.

  • Hi Louis,

To separate the motor driver outputs, you would need something like 4 single pole double throw relays (latching or unlatching).

Each relay connects the Motor winding to either the top or bottom DRV8412 while isolating the other from the path.
