DRV8825: DRV8825 current set with DAC

Part Number: DRV8825

Hello eveyone!

I’m trying to set the winding current of the drv8825 AVREF and BVREF with a DAC from external MCU to control current when motor is running and when motor is stopped. Actually it works but I’ve notice that using a potentiometer I’m getting no noise, and with the DAC I’m getting noise on the motor.

Can I use an external voltage reference like DAC output to set the current of the windings?

I use the potentiometer like datasheet says, and the remove the wiper of the potentiometer and connect DAC output from MCU.

Is there any diference using a potentiometer and an external voltage?? I guess is the same... is voltage.

I missing something that for the moment I can find...

Any suggestion??

Thank you!

BR,

daniel
