Hello All,

I want to use DRV8305 for our BLDC/PMSM motor driver. How can I calculate if DRV8305 need heat sink or not? Our motor is about 70 watts (24 V and 30 A). I can calculate it with:

But I am not sure how to decide the power dissipation Watts. How can I estimate the heat dissipation for our motor to decide if we need heat sink of not for DRV8305 or other MOSFET power modules?
