I have BOOSTXL-DRV8320S + MSP-EXP430F5529LP and spin a motor in sensorless mode whit BOOSTXL-DRV832X-EVM application.
Motor spin, but I´cant to adjust the number of motor poles, have a 6 pole motor and don´t have this option on setting "Motor Poles" field.
I´m suspect the motor don´t runs good.....
Any idea to how to adjust to 6 poles ?
I believe the pole value is only used in calculating the RPM shown on the GUI so your motor should still spin correctly yet the RPM will be wrong.
Unfortunately the original GUI designer didn't include 6 poles as an option.
You can use the 12 pole option and divide it in half to find the correct RPM value.

Ok, I undestand, the pole number is only to see speed.
I tryed to run in close loop sensored mode, but have issure, on the GUI shows "hall sensor error".
I checked the sensor whit a externar PSU and works well, I see the sensors works on NPN mode. When I connect it on J5connector BOOST board have 3,3 Vdc in all pins A,B,C !!
Needs I to change any jumper on MCU board to run in sensored mode?

You should not need to change anything on the MCU board or DRV board.
Can you share the datasheet of your motor? I want to look into the hall sensor operation.
Please find attached motor datasheet.
On the other hand, when setting 12 poles on the "motor pole" at 100% shows 2000 rpm, but the motor nominal value is 3500 rpm.

How much voltage are you applying to the motor?
How much current can your supply provide?
Do you have a way to check the actual RPM using a tachometer or similar?
I supply the DRV board whit an PSU 24 vdc / 20 Amps.
Yes I check the speed using an motor hall sensor and osciloscope.
Any suggestion about issue sensored control?
The maximun speed measured os 2000 rpm.
I tried to change conmutation frecuency whit the same results ......
Please share your hall sensor oscilloscope waveform.
Are you checking just one hall sensor?
