Hello,
Thanks for your reply!
The BST capacitor is not broken down, and I connect OC_ADJ pin to DVDD.
Is it because of over current that the two pins are short-circuited? Is it good to add over current protection?
Hello,
I cannot say exactly how the device was damaged but we always recommend using Over Current Protection unless you are implementing it yourself externally in which case it can be disabled.

Hello,
Can you recommend the connection mode of overcurrent protection? I see the datasheet is used OC_ADJ pin. However, when we added the overcurrent protection of hardware, the BLDC cannot start, and it would directly report an error of overcurrent. And we set the OC tripped value is 100A, the Rds(on) of mosfet is 3.6mR. What is your recommended resistance?
In addition, I would like to know whether the two pins were short-circuited due to the counter electromotive force?
It would be better if you could offer a reference schematic.
Thank you very much!
Hello,
Could you share the startup current of the motor?
Is the motor loaded?
I don't think the counter EMF caused the damage, likely the uncontrolled overcurrent caused the damage.
