Hi Sir,

Pls kindly help DRV8814 questions as below,

Test Setup:

1. Schematic as below.

2. PWM waveform（20KHz（50uS）、duty cycle：40%）

3. Result: Yellow(Fault). Green(PWM). Red(OUT1+). Blue(Current)

1. OUT+ not follow PWM is correct?

2. OCP is 3A, but we tested peak current(3~5us) up to 7A without FAULT alert, is it make sense?

Hi Ian,

The PWM waveform appears to dip below 2V and cause the output to be disabled. We recommend using a higher current limit on the power supply.

Hi Sir,

We use PSU spec: 24V. 7A; looks no problem, is it?

Hi Ian,

Based on the scope capture you provided, the current waveform appears to hit 7A. This causes the PWM waveform to drop below 2V and turn OUT+ off. We recommend increasing the current limit on the power supply.
