where can I a drawing of the DRV8711 footprint with exact dimension and position of the power pad. This would be needed for the layout.

Unfortunately the datasheet doesn't show.

Scroll down to CAD/CAE symbols where you will find a generic schematic symbol and layout footprint. The generic .bxl file can be converted to many CAD/CAE formats.

Hi Rick,

I discussed this with the customer. They are not familiar with the .bxl format. Ideally they would like to have a drawing as we do in our other datasheets. Can we convert the dxl somehow?

Hi Lutz,

I will have to contact the packaging group to find this information. This may take a few days. Ping me mid next week if you have not heard back from me before then.

The .bxl file is recommended if the customer is planning to create a layout footprint. The .bxl file can be converted into many layout packages.

Hi Lutz,

I sent a private message with the previous version of the datasheet. The previous version has the information.

We are still working to determine why the new version does not have the thermal pad mechanical and land pattern data.
