DRV2605: Looking for a part with selectable I2C address

Part Number: DRV2605
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV2625

Hi Team,

Do we have any DRV part that has selectable I2C slave address?

My customer is going to use 2 DRV2605 and wants to save the cost of an I2C switch so that's why I'm asking.

Thanks!

  • Hi Roy,

You could consider the next gen of DRV2605, which is DRV2625.
DRV2625 has TI haptic broadcast mode, by enabling this mode you can broadcast I2C commands to several haptic drivers. Or at least you could use one of the drivers on the default state, which uses 0x5A address and enable TI haptic broadcast mode on the second driver, which will react to 0x58 address.
