Hi,

According to http://www.omappedia.org/wiki/Release_Notes blaze and blaze tablet have separate releases. But looking at the release notes (e.g. http://omappedia.org/wiki/4AI.1.3_OMAP4_Icecream_Sandwich_Release_Notes) it seems like that one may use a given release for both devices. Is the later correct? i.e. can I just grab a release and configure it for blaze or blaze tablet and it would work just fine?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Alireza

    Hi Alireza,

Exactly, you can use one release for both platforms, but if you look into the steps there are certain differences when building for one platform like configs and variables.  At the end you should be able to take last release (4AI.1.3 at this time), build, boot  and have it working fine.

Each release is different, so the same could not apply to other previous releases, I am talking only for 4AI.1.3 releases

Note: You can see what platform is supported in the Introduction of the release note

    Regards!

    ICe

Just to make things clear.. it is the same source release with different build options. Binaries for blaze tablet will not work perfectly on blaze and vice versa. Some features may work but some (camera, touchscreen) will not work.
