    Pradeep,

Please contact Variscite for issues with their board; see www.variscite.com.

For latest releases from TI reference boards, see under the respective sections on omappedia release notes page: http://omappedia.com/wiki/Release_Notes.

    Regards,

    Magdalena

some links from omapedia.org about AP are next ones, but they are not a direct answer to your question.

or you are referring to a Android's Tethering feature?

    Hi Magdalena Iovescu,

First , Thank  for the reply.  The board has wl1271 chipset.  Here are the questions?

I am using android ICS which has the SOFTAP wl1271 software which support for ACCESS POINT even though it is not working?

what are the drivers are required for wl1271 chipset to make Access point work?. Is there any source updated SOFTAP for the wl1271.

are there any patches to add to make AP , station UP , wifi on?

I stuck here for three days.  I hope you understand the problem. give me the way to go ahead to solve the issue.

    Hi, Manuel Contreras,

In android menu, it is showing that AP is up. But any stations are not able to connect to it. Even for wl1271 station mode it is not able to connect to any of the access points around. If the AP is in open mode wl1271 may associate with it. But it will disconnect within 2-4 seconds. What might be the problem. Calibration issues? or SDIO interfaces problem?

    Thanks.

For wl1271 configuration is not the default one in 4AI,

Build, calibration and specific instruction are in next links

    http://www.omappedia.org/wiki/L27.IS.2.P2_OMAP4_Icecream_Sandwich_Release_Notes#Building_WLAN_driver

    http://omappedia.org/wiki/Android_Mac80211#WLAN_Calibration_Instruction

    http://www.omappedia.org/wiki/WLAN_board_configuration

In this forum you can find some post about some issues for wl1271 too.

and about SoftAP, can you post your question in WLAN Applications Forum the link is

    http://e2e.ti.com/support/low_power_rf/f/307.aspx

until L27.IS2P1 it was mentioned in the release notes,

    http://omapedia.org/wiki/L27.INC1.12.1-P2_OMAP4_GingerBread_ES2_Release_Notes#Building_SoftAP.2FHotSpot_driver

but for 4AI releases it is not,
