OMAP4470 vs OMAP4460

Hi All,

We are into a design based on OMAP4470. We would like to use OMAP4460 as a replacement for OMAP4470 in future.

We would like to know the differences(both hardware and software) between OMAP4460 and OMAP4470. 

Please let us know if there are any literature explaining the same.

    Hi Naveen,

    There is a delta document (to obtain it you should contact your local FAE), describing the functional differences between OMAP4460 & OMAP4470.

    They are minimal, so that it will not affect the sw, that much. 

    Actually, if you download any of the prebuild images for Android: http://omappedia.org/wiki/Android:_Working_with_pre-built_binaries

    you will see that OMAP4460 & OMAP4470 use the same u-boot & kernel images. Only the MLOs are different for the two devices and depending on the type of processor GP or HS.
