how to re-flash eMMC

Hi John , commonly this is due to the wrong version of usbboot for the  release you are working with. Can you give more information, for  your revision and software version you are trying  to flash

 Thanks for your response!    

 I tried to usbboot -v(or --version), it did not work. I don't know how to check the version. however, I just downloaded from TI website yesterday. my board is uevm5432g-02-12-00.

I also tried the usbboot of re-building from source code.

Are you able to open debug session with the debug usb, if yes 

replace your usbboot file with this one. and execute  " sudo usbboot -f "

0876.usbboot .tar.gz

(it is for es1.0)

   How do i open debug session with the debug usb? i just replaced the usbboot and ran the "sudo ./usbboot -f", looks it same like before, the uEVM automatically enters android.

you set all the dip switches to OFF state, plug your your micro usb cable into the debug port, and execute :

sudo screen /dev/ttyUSB0 115200

note: be sure to monitor the correct ttyUSB number

after that you run usbboot and  you power on the device.

   Thank for your help!

   I think I figured out the problem, the usbboot has bug for USB3.0, the ENDPOINT descriptor of usb2.0 is 7 bytes, it is added companion part in USB3.0. the usbboot still uses the usb2 structure, so it only works on USB 1.0 & USB2.0, not for USB3.0.

when i tried giving the command from VM ubuntu/VBox ubuntu as

sudo ./usbboot -f. Ima getting the following error ""

I gave executable permissions too. Following error is diplayed.

sudo: unable to execute ./usbboot: No such file or directory"

I tried with VMWare and VBox with ubuntu 13.10 as host. But still  not successful.

Even with SD card there is no success.

If you're trying to run a 32-bit binary on an amd64 installation:

    -Up to Ubuntu 11.04, install the package ia32-libs.
    -On Ubuntu 11.10, install ia32-libs-multiarch.
    -Starting with 12.04, install ia32-libs-multiarch, or select a reasonable set of :i386 packages in addition to the :amd64 packages.

The steps has been solved after installing ia32libs. Now the following error message is like this

sudo ./usbboot  -f
Itwaiting for device...

The same message is from almost 3o minutes and no progress further.

i get information of lsusb . In VM usb setting is 3.0.

Its not resolved even after pressing reset. Iam trying in Virtualbox with ubuntu 13.10 as host.

No error logs from minicom port also.

USB3 cable was not detected in my pc environment. I verified with colleague's environment and its working fine.
