DRA7-evm 10.1" touch screen does not work

Can you check what's been done in the following branch: http://git.omapzoom.org/?p=kernel/omap.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/p-ti-linux-3.8.y .

Check what's been done in the dra72x dts & related drivers and try to apply it for your dra7xx evm.

I've successfully enabled the touch screen on my DRA72x board with this kernel. It should be similar for DRA74xx boards.

Also beware to recompile the PVR driver against your patched kernel.

I have similar problem with DRA7xx_EVM.

I am using 10.1 display touchsreen from spectrum digital.

I have read and find patch form below app note(from "display section").

After apply patch I am able to get Android screen on display but touchscreen not working.

Can you point out possible patch for same.

Sorry for the delayed response.

I compared your dts & the one I use on my DRA7xx board (using Meld diff viewer). You were missing the dpi3 node:

I've added it to your dts, pls find the file attached: 0336.4341.dra7-evm.dts.txt. You can use this file to update your dts (don't copy paste the file directly, since I use dra7xx board rev E, just see where to place the dpi3 node) .

Also compare & update accordingly your omap2plus_defconfig file, with this one: 4617.omap2plus_defconfig.txt

Again use files as reference, don't copy paste these files directly, because of the different board revisions.

I have display board with 10.1" LCD/TS and REV is D. Can tell me your display board revision.

Can you share your uImage and DTB file to check with my hardware.

I have a similar issue. We have Rev G3 Vayu EVM board.

We patched the DRA7xx-evm GLSDK 6.10.00.02 (from the post release updates to support 10 inch LG display panel) and recompiled the kernel to make it work with 10.1" screen. However the touch screen does not work.

Attached is the pathced dts file that we have used.

Please let us know what needs to be done to enable the touch.(/dev/input/event0 , /dev/input/mice are there which are working)
