Dear sir,
I am in need of PWM signal generator IC , to poduce PWM pusle that will be used by DC-DC converter switches .. frequency range is 8 KHz.. I need an IC that has multiple output channels and produces PWM pulses whose duty cycles could be varied from 0 to 100% . can you suggest an IC? I intend to control the IC from a micro-controller.
Thanks and Regards
Vasanth
Hi Vasanth,
Maybe you can use your micro-controller to generate the PWM signals.
Here is a link how to do this with the MSP430: http://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/msp43016-bit_ultra-low_power_mcus/f/166/t/73837.aspx
Hope this helps.

I have generated a PWM signal using Micro-controller (PIC16f887) but unfortunately , there is only one PWM output channel , but i need three or four independant PWM signal with duty cycle ranging from 0 to 100 % . and so i am looking for a PWM generator IC ... can you suggest one ?
thanks and regards
vasanth
I still think that it would be the easiest approach to replace the PIC16F887 with a microcontroller with multiple PWM output channels. You can find a lot of examples on our "Digital Power" starting page: http://www.ti.com/ww/en/analog/digital-power/index.html
Other than that I am not aware of a specific "PWM generator IC" in our portfolio.
Maybe someone else in the forum knows something?
