I am referring to TS3A225E datasheet, pg 24-26. The recommended jack pin out shown is same as the poor jack pinout. (Fig 24 and 25). Also, in fig 23, the pin out shown for jack 2SJ3018-001311 looks different from its datasheet. What is the correct way ?
you are right, the 2SJ3018-001311 enters in the 'poor jack usage' picture (Fig. 24 of the TS3A225E Datasheet), the reason is that the RING1 is detected (not the TIP).
Nevertheless, refering to 2SJ3018-001311, when you plug a connector in the jack, #4 contact shorts with #5.
So, simply connect on your board #4 to AVDD and #5 to DET_TRIGGER with the suggested 100kOhm PD resistor.
