Choosing chips for new design

Good day,

I planing to make new design of 12-16 audio chanel decoder of modern audio formats as Dolby Atmos and Auro 3D, based on TI chips.

As output chips I used TAS5624A or TAS5632.

Unfortunly I found only 8 chanels PWM like TAS5558.

Do you planing to design 12-16 chanels modern PWM processor or I can use 2 chips TAS558 for decoding 16 chanels audio?

TAS5558 has I2C address select pin 10. You can use two devices for post processing up to 16 channel.

Can I use 3 chipsTAS5558 to decode 24 chanels in Dolby Atmos.

Hi Dmitriy,

The address pin only give you two options. But you can use PDNz pin to control I2C write to the devices. When PDNz is asserted, I2C write is not accepted. PDNz will preserve I2C programming, e.g. put device 1 and 2 in PDNz asserted state, write to device 3, then put device 1 and 3 in PDNz asserted state, then write to device 2.
