LMP91200 pH sensor diagnostics 2

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMP91200

Hello,

I'd like to expand a question raised by David Albone (LMP91200 pH sensor diagnostics). I too want to use the diagnostic feature of LMP91200. I'd like to ask what are the typical response times of a good pH probe. At least, what are the ranges we are talking about. Let's say the response is a simple RC-type transient response so assume we are looking at the "apparent" time constant. In a good pH probe, would this be a millisecond, tens of milliseconds, faster, slower? And an old pH probe, how much would it differ from a new probe? Ten times slower, thousand times slower?

I know that David Albone asked whether a 125 SPS ADC would be enough to diagnose and got answer by Domenico Granozio that a 1kSPS would be better. So, are we talking milliseconds? Also, is the RC response the likely type of response to the diagnostic function?

Thank you very much for answer
