LMP91200 - Any alternative that supports Temp Sensor + SPI?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMP91200

Hi,

Based on the earlier version of LMP91200 (Rev C datasheet), customer of ours designed this in an application to support Temp sensor and pH sensor both.
This is no longer available with the deletion of Temp sensor + SPI functions as per Rev E datasheet.

Is there an alternative that they could use as an replacement?

Regards,

Devan

  • We've also designed our device to use both the Temperature and pH - based on the previous specs.

We'd also like to know if TI recommends an alternative part of configuration?
  • Devan,
Sorry but we don't offer an alternative at this time.

  • Hi Matthew,

Could you please help to answer these two questions for me?

Q1: The rev E datasheet indicates that pins 13, 14, 15, 16 should be connected to GND, VDD, GND, GND respectively. Does this mean then that the rev E chip will not work when used in a circuit designed for the rev C chip whereby these four pins are connected to SPI bus? Or will the rev E device function as specified (ie pH and VCM buffers) when used in a circuit designed for the rev C device?

Q2: Will a rev C chip function OK in a circuit that has been designed for the rev E chip? By function OK, I mean that the pH and VCM buffer amp sections will function OK as per their default settings.

     Thanks.

    Regards,

    Devan
