DRV2511-Q1: Could the analog input be used for current feedback ?

Part Number: DRV2511-Q1

Hi Team,

My customer studies the DRV2511 for a voice coil application, lots of channels are involved. To simplify the system it would be very convenient to used the analog input to have some current feedback.

In fact they want to generate a sinusoidal current of 1kHz at around 3A. The current loop should have F-3dB of about 10kHz and PWM is about 10x higher. It is not clear to me from the DS how the analog input influences the PWM from the functional block diagram in the DS and it not described in detail in text either. Could help me on this please.

Best regards,
Frank

  • Hi Frank,

We will look into this and get back to you as soon as possible. Also once we find the solution we will look into revising the datasheet to better help future cutomers.

    Hi Frank,

The input influence on the PWM is described in section 7.3.2 of the datasheet and figure 4. Let us know if you have any more questions.
