Hello 

My customer is very interested in DRV2605 and DRV2667.

Could you please answer these questions ?

1.  When customer use out of "Waveform Library Effect list 1-123" to drive DRV2605 by themselves, does this violate Immersion licence with TI , right ?

     This means that Waveform Library Effect list 1-123 is only contracted licence with Immersion on driving  DRV2605 ?

2. When customer develop it in their application, will they prepare User interface licence additionally, right ?

   

3. Do you have a plan to get  licence with Immersion on DRV2667 ?

    Hi Saki,

    When you use the DRV2605/DRV2605L/DRV2625 devices, the Immersion license for the ROM waveform library(or libraries) is paid for in the price of the device. You do not need to pay additional fees to Immersion. We provide the IC and how the user interfaces with the device is up to the customer.
    When you use the DRV2604/DRV2604L/DRV2624 devices, there is no Immersion license included and waveforms can be stored in RAM.
    The DRV2667 has RAM memory and therefore, does not include any waveform libraries. We do not plan to add Immersion licensed waveforms to this device.

    Hi Saki,

    Please find section 11.1 of DRV2605 datasheet for license information.  We have no plans for DRV2667.
