DRV2700EVM: DRV2700EVM Software Crashes and does not connect

Part Number: DRV2700EVM

Hi,

I am having a problem when setting up the Piezo Control Console with the the EVM.

Once it connects when pressing 'Console' top left it crashes.

Can you please let me know what the issue could be and how it can be solved?

    Hi Vlad,

    Let me get our software expert to look at this. What version of Windows are you using? We only support Windows 7 for now.

    Hi,

    I have tried it on both windows 7 and windows 8 and none of them work.

    Hey Vlad,

    last time I had this problem I solved it by updating the firmware of the EVM. Here are some instructions on how to do it:

    1. Unplug the cable from the computer USB port
    2. Open the Piezo Control Console
    3. Go to Help -> Firmware Update
    4. Press the button SW1 (the white one in the top left corner), keep it pressed and plug in the USB cable to the computer port
    5. Press Scan Device (after that you can release the button)
    6. Go to Open FW and choose available firmware (should be DRV2700EVM_v1p7)
    7. Press update
    8. Unplug the USB cable from the computer, restart the program and try it again
