DRV8662: Single-ended or differential input

Hello !

I'm using the DRV8662 (PWM source) to drive a piezo transducer at 3kHz.

I was wondering : what are the pro and cons of using single-ended or differential input, given I can achieve my target output voltage with both options ?

Hey Guillaume,

So this basically depends on your application. Differential input is always better when you have EMI problems, RFI problems and generally whenever you have noise issues because they will cancel out inside of an amplifier.

Single ended one is more simple, you only need to apply one polarity voltage.

Most of the cases you shouldn't have problems with single ended input.
