Linux/DRV2624: DRV2624 Ringtone Haptic

Part Number: DRV2624
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV2625

Tool/software: Linux

Hi sirs,

I have a question about ringtone haptic effect.

Now we have a requirement that need to vibrate sync with the rhythm of the ringtone, in waveform sequencer mode. But we do not know how complex ringtone can be done by setting a group of seq, loop and main loop? If the ringtone have complex rhythm, how to achieve this vibration effect? Is there an example of a ringing effect(wavedata , seq and loop)?

Thank you.

  • Hey there,

You have limited RAM (1kB) for all of your waveforms. Everything you can fit inside of that one, you can play. With waveform sequencer you can load those ringtones and, with handling it, play different ringtones you stored.

Unfortunately I do not have any example, I ll ask a colleague of mine when he comes back if we do provide that (since we have devices with integrated waveforms, for which we have licences).

    Best regards,
    Marko
  • if the rhythm of ringtone is complex, is there enough ramto store the waveform? I konw RAM's size is 1KB.
  • Hi,

We do not assist with choosing waveform effects or help customers make waveform effects. The DRV2625 device has an integrated library that can be used for specific effects. How you choose to utilize the DRV2624 RAM is up to you. If you need help programming the RAM, please let us know.
